However, the levels of fluoride in nature are very low around 0.05 ppm (parts per million), while the levels added to municipal water supplies vary from 0.7 to 1.2 ppm.

Numerous research studies have been conducted over the years analyzing the safety and effectiveness of fluoride for children and adults. No connection has been found between the use of fluoride and cancer, multiple sclerosis, or any other childhood or adult disease.
